All I Know Now & Meeting Carrie Hope Fletcher

Last week I had the amazing chance of going to Carrie Hope Fletcher's book signing in Liverpool for her new book; All I Know Now. For those who don't know Carrie Hope Fletcher is a Youtuber, singer and actress (currently playing Eponine in Les Mis in the West End) and she has written a book, where she pours her heart out with advice, hoping that it will help those who read it.
Okay I have been a Carrie Hope Fletcher fan for a long time, I think about three years now, or as us fans like to call ourselves; Hopefuls, thats right I am a hopeful and I am proud of it. So anyway having the chance to meet her and have my book signed by her was amazing, I have looked up to her for so long, she is honestly one of my role models, so meeting her was beyond amazing.
Okay back to the actual day, firstly the event was not ticketed, so anyone could come along just as long as they had a book bought from Waterstones, they could have it signed. I honestly didnt think I would actually get the chance to meet her at the start of the day as I had an assessment for a job, so I headed into Waterstones early to give them my book and ask if they could try and get it signed for me whilst I was not there, bearing in mind this was at about half nine in the morning and there was already about a hundred people already waiting and the signing did not start until twelve.
Anyway I went and did my assessment and finished at about 11 so I could actually go to the signing! I picked up my book from the counter where they were holding it for me and I went to join the line, again this is an hour before the signing even starts and there was at least three hundred people in the line, put it this way if you know Liverpool, when I got to the line I was standing by the doors of urban outfitters, and that is with the line snaking around a few times.
Anyway whilst waiting in the line I got to some other hopefuls who were as astounded as I was over the size of the line, and we all chatted and kept each other entertained which was great as I was cold and we needed to keep our minds off the cold,(we did get hot chocolate whilst we were waiting to warm us up), finally twelve came and we started moving forward, at this point there was about four hundred and fifty people waiting and were we told this was the biggest turn out they had ever had for a signing, just shows how dedicated us hopefuls are. It took about two hours for us to get inside to where we could see Carrie, I will admit when I saw her I did have a utter fangirl moment, and then we got to meet her. Oh my Goodness, she is so lovely and sweet and is just as she come across in videos, we only got to chat briefly as there was a lot of people but I did get the chance to have a picture with her.

After me and my friends had all met Carrie, got our books signed and had pictures with her we headed upstairs to sit down for a while, so we could process what had just happened. I had met Carrie Hope Fletcher, one of my role models, (honestly I still cant believe it happened) but as we only spoken to her for such a small time and of course we wanted to say so much more, we went downstairs to buy a card so we could write what we had wanted to say to her in it and give it to her, so we did that, we waiting until the end of the signing and  gave it to her, she said thank you and wished us a nice day and we told her to have fun in her Manchester signing which started at five pm that night, and then we left, still reeling from meeting her we never stopped talking until we parted ways.
After this I headed home with my book in hand and started reading it ( I was already half way through ). Honestly All I know Now is such an amazing book, and I am not just saying that, it really is, its so honest about everything and whilst reading it, it really does feel like you are chatting with one of your friends. Here is some information about All I Know Now

We all know that growing up is hard to do, and sometimes the only thing that makes it better are the reassuring words of someone who has walked that bumpy road just a few steps ahead of you and somehow ended up as a fully-functioning adult. Carrie Hope Fletcher is that person.* Thanks to her phenomenally popular YouTube videos, Carrie has become an 'honorary big sister' to hundreds of thousands of young people who turn to her for advice, friendship and, most of all, the knowledge that things will get better. Carrie has created a safe and positive space for young people to connect and share their hopes and concerns online, and now she will share her most personal thoughts and experiences in her first book, ALL I KNOW NOW. Part memoir, part advice guide, it will include Carrie's thoughts on some of the topics she's asked about most regularly: bullying, body image, relationships and perhaps the scariest question of all: what does the future hold for me? With warmth, wit and a sprinkling of hard-won wisdom, Carrie will provide the essential tools for growing up gracefully ...most of the time. *Although she did recently post a video about how to pee in a onesie. So the definition of 'adult' is a bit flexible here ...
That day will always be in my memory as a brilliant day as I got to meet one of my role models, someone I have looked up to for a very long time. Let me know who some of your role models are, Id love to know!
