Back to Books

Although I absolutely adore books with all my heart, the majority of this year I have been in a reading slump, and I don't particularly know why, I think just university got in the way, but anyway , at the start of this month I finally started seeing some books I really wanted to read, and in the space of two weeks I had accumulated a fair few books and I thought I would share them with you.

My Rockstar Boyfriend - Eleanor Wood
I picked this up whilst I was in Asda and it was only like £4 so it was really cheap, which was amazing! The story focuses on a girl who writes a blog who one day receives a comment by a famous singer , and the story follows her as she continues to figure what to do, with friends, family and of course, a secret rockstar boyfriend. I enjoyed this when I read it, I really like it when there are bloggers in books because it opens up our little world and to see it play out in book form is great, the characters are great the plot is easy and fun to read, it great for someone who wants a fun read with blogging and music throughout.

Between the Lines - Jodi Picoult & Samantha Van Leer
This book has easily become one of my favourite books of all time, and that is a very hard thing to do with me, it is such an amazing story that I couldn't help but love it. It follows Delilah as she reads a fairytale book over and over again about Prince Oliver and his epic adventures until one day he asks her for her help to get him out of the book. I fell in love this book the moment I started reading it, I adore fairytales and this could not be more perfect, it is definitely one of my favourite books ever. I truly recommend this book to anyone who loves fairytales and Disney.

Im sure everyone knows Giovanna Fletcher, and her amazing books, well they have been on my to buy list for a very long time, and I finally bought one! Dream a little Dream is about a woman who starts dreaming about a handsome stranger, but suddenly turns out he's real. This was enough to reel me in to buy it as I want really want to read her books and this book seemed as good a place as any to start.

This book came because of a recommendation by the booktuber Sasha Alsberg, she constantly mentions it and it is set in Scotland so I thought why not? It follows two girls who go to Scotland for the summer and they discover a magical kingdom called Doon filled with magic and handsome Scottish Princes.Oh my goodness it is so good! The story is really interesting, the characters are likable and infuriating at the same time which is great, and I know I need to buy the next book in the series

Underworld is the sequel to Abandon by Meg Cabot, it follows a girl named Pierce and her bizarre "relationship" with John Hayden. This series is based on the Persephone myth from Greek Mythology, and I adore Greek mythology so I couldn't not read this and when I saw the sequel on sale for £1 I HAD to buy it, so if you also like Greek Mythology I definitely recommend this.

Now this final book is the sequel to Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult and her daughter Samantha Van Leer, now simply by my description of the first book, see above, it is obvious I love this book, its continues Delilah and Prince Oliver's story, its perfect and I flew through it, I couldn't put it down I had to know what happened next, it has everything you got in the first book and more, as I said before if you love fairytale and Disney styled stories these books are perfect for you.

Well those are all the books that I bought in the past few weeks to get me back into reading and they have certainly done the job, I read three book in two days so I am starting to get back to my books, which I am loving.

Write again soon xxx
