BEDA Day 4 - A Royal Sight

Hey Everyone! Day 4 already? This is really going fast! Anyway today is another day in London, and today was our day to go and visit the Queen, that's right, if you haven't already guessed from the picture above I went to see Buckingham Palace today.

It's one of those thing you HAVE to do when you visit London, and although I had already seen it every other time I had visited London we went again so some of my family could see it for the first time. Anyway, we actually started the day quite late as we were still tired from the day before. Thankfully we found a quicker way to the Palace through Pall Mall and St James Park, which was truly beautiful to walk through, so I was taking pictures constantly of the park and gorgeous buildings in Pall Mall ( they look like something straight out of Pride and Prejudice, so I was very happy looking at them all as we passed them.)

When we got to St James' park you could tell it was summer, there were hundreds of people out, in the rental beach chairs ( did not know you had to rent beach chairs, but there you go ) The park was full of families, teenagers and strangely a lot of ducks ( and I mean a lot) It took us all a while to get from one end to the other to go and see the Palace but it was nice to see the park in the summertime, when everyone was out.

After walking through the park we finally made it to Buckingham Palace, and regardless of how many time I had seen it before it still looks as beautiful as ever, especially since it was a nice sunny day. We got to see the guards, although we had missed the changing of the guard that day, so we mostly watched them walk ten steps forward and back to their post. After taking about a hundred pictures between us all we left and headed back through St James Park , to make our way back to Oxford street for some food and a final bit of shopping, however before we St James Park ,we came across a little house next to the water called Duck Cottage, it was so small and cute, it looks like a fairytale cottage, but we couldn't stay forever as much as we would have wanted to but we had to get back so we could eat and finish our shopping. Here are the photos from the day Enjoy!

Hope you liked this post! I'll be back tomorrow with BEDA Day 5. See you then!

Write again soon xxx

  1. I loved visiting the palace and the gardens, they're so beautiful and so much bigger than I thought they would be! I want to go back to London so much! There's so much I didn't get to see!
